Re: MIT Tech Review
The same changes in lifestyle and attitude which have led to so many overweight Americans have contributed mightily to the changes in taste for vehicles.
Fat fannies don't fit in small cars, and it's hard to be King of the Road when you're zipping along in a compact car.
Interestingly, on another note, I see the first JD Powers survey conducted in Germany found that Japanese cars, led by Toyota/Lexus, garnered most of the top spots.
Like Americans, Germans appear to scorn domestic vehicles and favor foreign ones.
