Cold.
History is both written by winners, and it's whatever a group of people choose to believe. It's relationship to actual events is often loose.
For instance, the idea that Israel is being driven into the sea by it's Arab neighbors. That the Palestinians, with help, are going to do that. Not history, that's a myth, but a myth worth billions upon billions of American aid.
And it's believed. That's all that matters.
