<...For instance, there is a considerable body of evidence that in 1948 the Arabs attacked the Israelis very reluctantly, to stop the Israeli slaughter of Palestinians.
The Arabs came down en masse on Israel almost to the second that the accords creating it were signed. Would dearly love to see some of this "body of evidence" of your statement. Please don't give me anything from the same sources who are trying to sell us the Protocols of Zion.
It is also clear that the original inhabitants of Israel, the Arab Israelis, were guaranteed full citizenship in the new nation which took over their lands. The UN guaranteed the Israeli Jews and Israeli Arabs would be equal in their civil rights.
Ain't happened. Arabs who have lived in Israel for generation after generation prior to the creation of Israel are second- or third-class citizens.
There are many Arab citizens of Israel, not all second or third class citizens by any means. Out of Israel's approximately 6 million permanent inhabitants, almost 1 million are Muslim. Arabs in Israel can vote. Arab WOMEN is Israel can vote, which is damn rare in most Arab nations. And there are Arabs in Israeli government, about 10 out of 120 Knesset seats at my last count. Arabs living in Israel live better than Arabs almost anywhere else in the Middle East. You say you've done a lot of reading. I wonder where.
Find me one single Jew in ANY Arab government. ANY AT ALL. I haven't researched this one bit, but would bet solid money on the outcome.
Hell, go out and do some REAL reading and then tell me how many Jews even live in Saudi Arabia, or Jordan, or Syria. Or Iraq. Or Iran.
Incidentally, the Palestinians, like other Arabs, seem to feel that if they ever have a state, not one single Jew will be living in it.
