Tax revenues almost doubled during the Reagan years, thanks to a growing economy. Too bad spending kept well ahead of it, which I'm sure had NOTHING to do with a Democratic congress, any more than the Republican congress had anything to do with keeping spending in check during the late 1990s. It's all the President, right?
Actually, I was making less money in 2000, but what's that got to do with anything? At least with any luck on the tax proposals I'll get to keep more of it.
