Ahh... But since light IS just another bit of protomass, then what property gives it the energy to instantaneously? Energy must come from other energy, kinetic or potential, if my physics classes have taught me correctly. I put forward this idea - while it may accelerate VERY quickly due to it's VERY low mass (like a neutrino), it still holds mass, does not accelerate instantly, and does not maintain a constant speed.

I'm not sur show everything came into existence. For the time being, I have accepted that everything simply is, and have put aside the notion of "beginning", "end" or "center" and "edge" when it comes to the universe and it's history. The human mind is capable of great notions, but is still to simple (and I think, always shall be) for concepts of applications of infinity. Won't stop us from trying, though.

Also, I hereby propose that "thingamabob" become the official term for the higgs boson once we find it - or at least for whatever we can determine is the actual particle that makes up others. Speaking of which, an idea just occurred to me now. If we do find this "thingamabob", then technically, it's the only particle in existence - everything else is just clusters of thingies (proposed plural of "thingamabob").
