For want of a word, the meaning was lost
You gave me a real bad moment there, SDAITech1, thinking that I'd misspoken with my fingers. But no, you just missed the word "misconception" in front of the phrase you quoted. What I said was:
Best refutation I've read of the misconception that librarians are essentially just filing clerks who put the books back on the shelf in the slots ordained by Mr. Dewey.
Nothing to take back. Sorry you wasted that nice paen to librarians...well, not really wasted, we can't tell librarians enough how highly we value them. So I'll give it my ditto of approval.
