The US plants are more a response to US overt and covert tariffs, than to home-country labour costs.
If they were seeking to reduce labour costs, per se, they would set up shop in China, Indonesia, India, Zimbabwe etc...
Hell, we can even build stuff here in Oz real cheap, although the Pacific Peso has been going up of late!
Now if you want to talk agricultaral produce, our Sheep farmers would have a thing or two to say...
