Gotta tell you Larry that your wife is prepping you for what she REALLY wants for your 20th anniversary, and that's a new diamond ring! ("saying you'd marry her all over again")
Seriously, to get on her REALLY good side, I'd mention it one romantic evening, and see if she'd be up for it. I'll bet you any money (YOUR money!) that she's looking to get one finally, or upgrade the engagement ring you got her 20 years ago.
Oh, Zales has some NICE stuff. Watch for the sales, start shopping early. They always have a big Mother's Day sale. You could get a really nice one carat diamond for about $1,200- $1,500, with no interest for a year.

Trust me, you say she worth it.
