I refuse to voluntarily do anything that contributes even a penny to the economy of Belgium, France, or Germany. I'm not anti-European. I'm anti-OLD EUROPE, or more appropriately, I'm anti-Axis of Weasels. As long as I have freedom of choice as to where I spend my money, I'm going to exercise my right not to spend it in your country.
As a mere individual, my purchasing power might not amount to much. But then again, it does add up (and I seriously doubt I'm the only one who feels this way). I've already cancelled a trip to Europe this year for my 20th anniversary. We're going to New York City instead. That trip would've added thousands to the European economy. I've boycotted a diamond purchase just in the last week. There are other purchasing decisions worth over $10,000 for next year that would've gone to Austria (a Rotax airplane engine for a homebuilt) that will now be going elsewhere, probably either the US or Australia. All this and I'm just one guy.
And trying to hide behind the Jews is a shallow tactic, given Belgium's treatment of the Jews over the years and their frequent condemnation of Israel.
