Re: This apparently doesn't occur to most men

Abstinence is for EVERYBODY. I never said it was a woman-only issue, and you are right that the man's pants should have been mentioned in the same sentence as keeping her legs together.

That being said, you might want to investigate where the "free love," "do what feels good," and similar sexual attitudes came from over the past decades. Guess what...it wasn't from religious conservatives. The women's movement, among some good things it accomplished years ago, gleefully not only knocked women from the pedestal, but dumped them in the gutter, and abused men who treated women like they were more valuable or different than men.

There has to be a happy medium somewhere between "Ozzie and Harriet" and "Sex in the City." Maybe it's time to start treating women with some real cultural respect again, and not just like men with tits.

Whenever women have insisted on absolute equality with men, they have invariably wound up with the dirty end of the stick. What they are and what they can do makes them superior to men, and their proper tactic is to demand special privileges, all the traffic will bear. they should never settle merely for equality. For women, "equality" is a disaster.
