I'm in the middle on this as well.
As a means of birth control, I say there are better ways. Having a fetus ripped limb from limb out of a mothers womb isn't good for either. It does seem fairly selfish from my point of view. Maybe women should think more about the possible long term consequenses of a few moments of pleaseure.
With that said, I do feel that there are situations in which abortion is viable. These are: rape, risk to life or health, or if the fetus is defective in some way. But in such cases, I feel that an abortion should be conducted as early as possible.
So called partial birth abortions have no redeeming value and should be made illegal. If you're going to deliver a child breech all the way to the crown of the head, you may as well do it all the way.
