Like the anti genetic engineering crowd is today....

the things that could help people the most seem to be most strongly opposed by those that need it the least....

(Though...reasonable enviromentalism I think is ok....not wanting to start a fight here but..... global warming IS real and its effects will not be pretty. The science IS valid and the consequences are major. In my opinion PETA and ELF are a bunch of loser kids, and ELF will destroy themselves... but there IS reason to act on global warming.)
