The TB idea is interesting, and quite plausible. Too bad we don't have a lot of frozen preserved mammoths in this hemisphere to test this. It's probably a good thing the giant beaver died out. I can imagine the environmentalists tearing their hair out watching giant beavers chew down huge old-growth redwoods. ;)
