To blame the "poor, innocent 'Native Americans'" for it. Cultural imperialism, that's what it is! Probably a bunch of Evil Dead White Guys from the future who build a time machine to go back and kill all those poor innocent animals and then blame the poor innocent 'Native Americans.'
