How much radiation would an ozone layer block?

I don't know if an ozone layer could replace the effect of a magnetosphere in blocking radiation - That's the case you're going to have to prove beyond doubt to move terra-forming Mars into the realm of the possible -

It would be good news if it could, but I am very skeptical at this point - An ozone layer would also heat the planet by trapping infra-red wavelengths -
