Space/Science » in reply to How much radiation would an ozone layer block?

Depends on what the word

Please do not confuse the ultraviolet radiation that the ozone layer blocks (and is created by) with the charged solar particles that are deflected by a planetary magnetic field. The word "radiation" is used nowadays very broadly, with little regard for accuracy or detail.
