Apparently I wasn't specific enough.
The 2010 election and the Tea Party were not about social issues. They were about spending, taxes, and government being too damn big and powerful.
The only people bringing up things like abortion and social issues at most of the debates now are the media "moderators" attempting to steer things away from the issues the candidates actually want to talk about.
Nobody's bringing up guns. Especially Democrats.
