Hi SM,
I had to laugh when I saw the alotted salary and employee configuration 4@30k!
Running a corporation is da-n expensive!
The attorneys, accountants and state and federal taxes on any stock can easily swallow 200k a year!
If you want to attract investors you have to have polish too. No barnyard locales or garage setups need apply. (The days of Goddard are truly long gone)
As for actually building a rocket of sizable dimensions( saying one has managed to jump through regulatory hoops with the agility of a gymnast) one is now confronted with materials and skills which are on the upper $$$ levels of expenditure and salary spectrum.
No one is going to work for peanuts or altruistic reasons - and if they are, they probably aren't very skilled and/or experienced.
Several million in salaries ALONE is more realistic.
Rocket testing has fundamental dangers involved and banks and lending institutions will want to see insurance policies.
Getting insurance policies for rockets, employees and facilities is another matter altogether!
You have to be rich. And if you want to be successful you have to be VERY rich and have friends in the DOD who are supporting your endeavor.
Then, and only then, will your private rocket firm be a success.
Best wishes,
