Tom's been having a bit of trouble with words these days.
- Riding rockets and the preparation is dangerous.
- People make their choices.
- Sometimes it is plain stupid to not take precautions. Grissom, White and Chaffee were killed by stupidity, not by any inherent danger in space travel.
- When a tragedy happens, it is a tragedy. So what if they made a choice? Still a tragedy. Hard to understand when you're in the middle of some macho circle-jerk, I suppose.
- You guys with your "the hell with 'em, they made a choice" are ridiculous. (Sounds kinda bad, doesn't it. Tell the widows and widowers, the mothers, fathers, children, taxpayers, "It's not a tragedy, no reason to be safe, they died happy, doing with they loved, don't be sad, they made a choice. It's wrong to selfishly regard yourselves as suffering a loss, they made a choice!!") Silly.
