And then on December 15th, the Senate voted 81 to 19 to extend ALL the Bush tax cuts.
Gambit worked. End of problem, end of "blockage."
"Don't Ask Don't Tell" passed the Senate December 18th, 65-31.
The extension of ethanol subsidies passed on the 18th, 81-19.
A major food safety bill passed on the 19th, by unanimous consent.
The Continuing Resolution to fund the government passed on the 21st, 79-16.
The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act passed on Dec. 23 by unanimous consent.
And so on. All in all, it seems that the Brownshirts barely had time to get sweat stains.
There are even more Republicans in the Senate now, and the Democrats are still pretty much running things. Stop being nuts.
