I was looking for something significant, something that justified Bowser including it in almost every other post for months. Some monstrous interference with the Democratic process that warranted comparison with "Brownshirts" and the rise of fascism in this country.
If anyone is seeing impending totalitarianism in either of these incidents, there's brain damage involved.
Nothing was "blocked." Things were passed in the Senate all that month, most of it with significant Republican votes.
Meanwhile, Obama declares he's simply going to route around the legislature if they don't knuckle under to his agenda, and nobody cares.
P.S. does anyone else at all find it just a little creepy that overt and uncompromising political opposition to a leader's agenda is now considered the equivalent of incipient fascism?
