Bruckheimer was the producer of Armageddon -- and, coincidentally, The Rock, and Con Air, and Pearl Harbor, and just about every other gawdawful orgy of plot-free pyrotechnic Hollywood excess.
Blech. I hated Armageddon. About the only thing I liked about it was the fact that I got into a focus group screening three months before its release, so at least I didn't have to pay for the abuse that I suffered. And I got to trash it to everyone I knew for three months before it came out...
