Re: Remember Barry DiGregorio's mini-black holes ...

The Earth’s atmosphere had much greater density than it has today. Perhaps the density of the atmosphere was hundreds or thousands of times denser than today. Such high density atmosphere would have more nitrogen and oxygen to support the biological functions of plants and animals. Also the high pressure of the atmosphere would give ‘support’ or bouancy to the large size of the animals. Similar to the water supporting large animals such as whales. As to why the Earth is tremblig today; it may be simply because the atmospheric pressure is so low that the internal pressure is expanding the planet and in the process cracks the mantle in weak places.
