Rush doesnt offer retractions or accept correction.... And the sad fact is more people are "educated" by him than by sci am. So I DO expect him to keep his numbers straight- since he openly proclaims to be a purveyor of truth...

-The right all too often dismisses facts that disagree with their agenda as "left wing science". The fact is global warming is real, it does not matter if you accept that or not... we know the mechanism we know we are producing the gasses in question in quantities that are far beyond what the Earth has seen in eons, and now we are seeing warming... This really is not in question. I am NOT an enviro-nut, I do NOT wish to see us take a step backward technologically, I detest those environmentalist nuts that seem to think we would be better off living in a pre-industrial society... But I AM a scientist and I have looked at the research, and I have no doubt the phenomenon is REAL. So I want the politicians to accept that and say "Ok, how do we deal with this with the minumum of difficulty" instead of saying "well it needs more study..."

We have altered our planets environment...I dont think even the most mindless right wing mouthpiece could say otherwise... We as thinking humans need to evaluate what this means to our future...otherwise we will be just dumb animals.

We are a few hundred million that have the technology to live well pretty efficiently... there are several BILLIONS that want that standard of living and are going to use inefficient means to do it...
