Frank.
I like to think I taught him well, but I’m sure Anita (my lovely wife) had a lot to do with it (not that that I’d openly admit it to her).
Ed.
Thank you. How are things with your family? I trust all is well.
Tom.
I don’t really think of it as pride, more just a way of being. We’re all on the Earth for each other, and we are our brother’s keeper, whoever he may be, and when he is attacked in such a way as this, a like-response is simply required.
SDAI.
The high body count will likely include the innocent, but the guilty will far outweigh them. Not wishing to sound off like Oscar Goldman here, but we do have the technology and ability for precise work in this matter. It is possible to literally slice these villains from the fold, like a surgeon removing a tumor. Identify the target, and attack.
As for Army Basic Training, been there, done that -- but there are few way in which to prepare the uninitiated.

You’re very welcome, Richard. I stand firm in my belief that eradication of terrorism is not just the correct measure we should take, it is the only option left us at this point in time. We’re out of the playpen, and it’s time the world simply grew the fuck up.
Thank you, Mary Anne.
Ray (actually Archie Ray Spires, II, named for my father) wants dearly to be a writer. I told him his work is nice, but it misses a lot of real life experience. I believe that’s going to change, a lot.
Thank you one and all,
Dan
