Bin Laden is hidiing out in the southern mountain of afganistan, the worst possible location to be in the eyes of an agressor. History is full of famous generals tryingt o invade afganistan and failing miserably. Ulsama is hiding out in the cave and I doubt mere explosives will weed him out. I would prefer a weapon with a residual effect, namely anythin gin the NBC lineup, but most specifically blanketing areas we know he is in with chemical weapons or high radion neutron bombs. In order for him to get out he must get contaminated, and he will suffer a long, slow, agonizing death, much better that anything we can do to him if we actaully captured him ourselves (due to the bill of rights preventing cruel and unusual punishment).
Congress has done many assinine things that makes our situation fdifficult.
#1. intelligence agencies may NOT use informants with criminal backgroudns. (WTF?!!!) You can't send angels into the mafia. . . if we need informants, damn their criminal background, we NEED any and all information, it is the difference between seeing the Word Trade Towers collapse and not.
#2. no government official or agency may be allowed to specifically target heads of states. Congress sneeds to wak eup and realize that the world is not a cudly place for morality. Outside our borders there is anarchy, and this anarchy is not following our rules, nor does it give a damn about them. Every assinine rule like this ties a hand behind our back, or ties a ball and chain around our feet. Hopefully the realizaiton that the world does not play fair will prompt congress to change some of this . . .
