Keep an eye on the O'Reilly factor

an email I sent:

Mr. O'Reilly,

You were completely off with your strategy for dealing with Afganistan. You cannot bomb them into the stone age because they are already there, and you cannot starve the people into a revolt because they are already starving; with those willing/able to fight already enlisted in the rebel faction of their choice.

A better strategy is clear: Since the Taliban does employ some feeble conventional forces in the form of tanks and brigades, we should take these out with our airpower and funnel money into the Northern Alliance. The Northern Alliance can take it form there and we can employ them to hunt down Usama.

he really made himself to look like an idiot, insisting we bomb them into the stone age, take out thier infrastructure, and starve them into a revolt agaisnt the Taliban. In fact the Northern Alliance Ambasador corrected him on the infrastructure part but he still kept on about it.
