In my case, anyway.

We have flags out to show our support for the nation. That definitely does NOT equate support for any disastrous war waged for politics in the name of justice.

At the same time, I'm certain people going by our house do mistake those flags for a demonstration of war-fever. War-fever is not catching in our household any time soon.

I hope Cheney, Powell and Rumsfeld are able to engineer something resembling justice. I hope they have the good sense and the decency to avoid spending American lives and the lives of foreigners in a war that will increase misery, pain, bloodshed and insecurity in the name of a 21st century crusade. Medieval 'thinking' has replaced thinking, in this citizen's opinion.

And I realize a great many people do not share that opinion. I believe a majority in America have war-fever and want to see rivers of blood. A majority on this board also want war.

Happy to speak for the minority. In a republic, mob rule is watered down and minorities are supposed to have a voice. That's a good thing, or so the founders of America believed.
