I find it amazing how intolerant most board members are to ANY American who has an alternative view/perspective to what has/is happening.

Ms. Pollitt shrewdly tacks downs the hypocriscy that fuels nationalism, righteousness and revenge. She also calls a spade a spade.
I've noticed the knee jerk re-actions of many of the memebers here to throw gasoline on a spark, just to keep the light (and wisdom) of another person's perspective down.

Burn kill electrocute.
No remorse.

Some people just think first and re-act later.

This woman is no peace-nik, but an individual with a clear cut understanding of the tides of men. She would prefer NOT to bomb Afganistan, but noted the discrepancy FIRST of the American- financed acts that made the Taliban soil fertile......and she has a right to remind us all of our collective follies.
She is not un-American.

The choice she gave to her son honors HIS choice.

She is not anti-war, but calls the shots as we shoot them.
Nationalism is strong, and the Taliban is a force that NEEDS to be excised off the face of the earth.
And many innocent people will die in the process.
