SOP/HOSTILE AIRPLAN/SUPPRESSION

Act One, Suppress All known SAM threats, AAA, Surface to air missiles, Aircraft capable of theatre interception. Destroy all communications assets. Shut down the transportaion system as much as possible.

Act Two, run low level survailence, along with mop up of any secondary sites.

Act three, in this case it will be a pause in the campaign to see what the Taliban, and locals will do.
This will govern the next phase, if the Taliban, or the locals indicate they are willing to act in a rational manner and hand over the bad actors, we stop and begin digging out other terrorists elsewhere,
If not...............

Act Four Ground assaults, mostly with special forces. KEYPER missions.....Key Personell Extraction / Removal. Low level air attack, strike the remaining assets. Reserves munitions not destroyed ETC.

Act Five Try to put Humpty Dumpty back together, Afghanistan is perhaps the worst war stricken country in the world, after twenty years of war, famine and iron fisted rule of Religious extremists there's not much left. No electricity, clean water, health care system or any other basic services provided by government.

We walked away from Afghanistan in 1989, within a year a civil war broke out, a bloody dirty nasty mess that enabled the Taliban to come to power. If we walk away this time, the probobilities of something worse taking their place is high, to high.
There are other countries around the world which are in the midst of the same chain of events, Algeria comes to mind first. We ignore the minor conflicts in the Twent First Century at our own peril, the world is now too small.
