Re: Guilt by association?

Hi E,

I have fun with Jehovah's Witnesses. Not at their expense of course - but if I have fifteen minutes to kill, I manage to illumine (or at least I like to call it illumine) their minds as to a broader scope of things.

After all, in the Witnesses' version of the afterlife, only 300000 get to heave and the rest are mowed down in some sort of a spiritual firing line - Jesus with a soulic flamethrower or somesuch thing. Of course there have been far more than 300,000 Jehovah's Witnesses - and so lots of them are not gonna make it...

By the time they realize that its not going in their direction - and that they are beginning to have doubts - they split faster than they pedalled up.

Of course not all liberals are bad or unpatriotic..and all conservatives are not all good and patriotic.

While I understand Tom's lament - I think he underestimates how many of the 'better' liberals ;-) have there views formed by genuine concern for the masses - a sort of blend of socialism & liberal freedom loving.

The conservatives are viewed by these folks as somewhat elitist, money-grubbing imperialists who put their ashes out on the heads of the downtrodden.

ism's are obsolete.

I know no two conservatives with the same views on things. I know no two liberals with identical views.

As long as we are human we will all view this infinite universe from unique perspectives. Our experiences, thoughts and actions make the concept of classification an effort of manifest futility.

Don't worry...no one's painting you, or anyone else here... with this brush.

Best wishes,
