Granted

Big Labor and Big Business behave the same way. He who lies down with dogs gets up with fleas.

What is your alternative? Have the working men and women lie down on their backs and say to the corporate officers and boards of the land, "Please don't hurt me"? Or perhaps the workers could own the means of production...

...which works when they can afford to buy it, which they can when they get a living wage, which they can get if the company is less interested in profit than in the welfare of the workers... Wow, look! Pigs flying!

...or Big Government steps in and acts as a surrogate of the People... no, wait a minute: they tried that in Eastern Europe after WWII and it didn't work so well.

Organized labor isn't the perfect solution to the problems working people have trying to squeeze a living out of corporate boards who view them as the human cogs in their profit machine. It's just the best one out of all the alternatives.
