You forgot the Unions...

Identifying yourself as a conservative in the unions is like being in a Catholic Church and declaring yourself a blasphemer ,devil worshipper...or worse...a Protestant.

There are so many unions...government employee, auto, steel, airlines, communications, etc...

All these folks feel compelled in their own self and 'communal' interest to vote left - which is viewed as 'friendly to the unions'.

The newsletters sent out are almost funny to read if you get hold of some of them.

Not only do they tell you who to vote for, they convince those who don't how there pocketbooks will be directly affected.

While claiming to be for the underdog, the union dues enrich fatcats who are FAR worse than the average conservative. They patheticly appeal to SELF-interest and only thinly veil it as 'community'.

While unions serve a purpose in protecting the working man - they have only helped generate the most conniving business practices in management ever seen.

The loopholes corporations can use to elinminate parts of their workforce is increasing in number, and the unions have themselves to blame as management becomes as cutthroat and mercenary as the the union organizers.

It is a sad affair.

Forgive my rambling....but I am in a mood to ramble tonight.
