It ALL balances out!!!!

By passing to give a hand up...don't be surprised when someone doesn't give you an hand.

There is no valid justification for failing to assist a fellow human being. Prejudices and preconceptions are not valid reasons.

There is a fundamental difference between compassion and sympathy or sorrow.

Compassion is more balanced it is UNDERSTANDING and CONCERN.

Sorrow and sympathy is a bit less evolved - it is more emotional and therefore more full of imbalances or LACK of UNDERSTANDING.

Wailing and tearing out one's hair is also unproductive, it will not prevent further tragedy and in many ways only propagates misery.

So while I have lots of compassion for all these folks in Afghanistan - I am not wailing like a banshee with tears or sorrow for their predicament.

I treat ALL folks as fairly as I can due to this belief or understanding. I genuinely care. I may not make a great show of my concern, but it is there nevertheless.

While I can't muster up much compassion for the terrorists - there exists some. When one sees ignorance lead to destruction one always feels compassion. I can foreshadow these terrorist folks future, it's not going to be pretty, and the chain of events which will bounce back and forth (kill, be killed ad infinitum) until they evolve out of this low strata.
