...and I'm grinning like a possum!

The American Left is twisting in the wind, trying desperately to "spin" this into something bad. Their stalwart ally, the mainstream media, is pulling all the old bags of tricks out that worked so well in Viet Nam. The South Vietnamese Army...er, that is, the Northern Alliance, is being pictured constantly as cowardly thugs who execute everyone they see and eat fried babies while taking a break from their looting. Unfortunately, this spin effort is not going over well. The pictures coming in of dancing in the streets of Kabul must be like hot knives in the media's guts.

Their original Tokyo Rose attempts early in the war were proven to be lies. Remember the Iraq war? Remember the "Mother of All Battles?" Remember the body bags we were going to see from Iraq? When we overran Iraq like a steamroller over baby bunnies (and unfortunately stopped too soon), the media gnashed its teeth, just like they are now. The media will be getting more and more amusing to watch over the next weeks.

No body bags to gloat over. No military "Quagmire" to hang around the neck of Bush like a rotting albatross. Joy in Afghanistan at what we have done. And more and more people beginning to realize that the "free press" in this country (bastard child of the socialist universities turning out "journalism" graduates) is looking more and more like Pravda, and rejecting them for other news sources. Did you notice the layoffs?

And incidentally, a very, very important message, written by tons of explosives, has been sent to those nations that still harbor terrorists, or may be thinking about hiding bin Laden and his crew. There are more than a few soiled burnooses in the Middle East tonight.
