Publius

Having been exposed to Publius's pouty orations, I ponder how best to express my disgust at Publius's total lack of sensitivity and reasoning. First things first: Publius's offhand remarks will have consequences -- very serious consequences. And we ought to begin doing something about that. It is similarly noteworthy that only through education can individuals gain the independent tools they need to replace today's chaos and lack of vision with order and a supreme sense of purpose. But the first step is to acknowledge that Publius's victims have been speaking out for years. Unfortunately, their voices have long been silenced by the roar and thunder of Publius's legates, who loudly proclaim that every word that leaves Publius's mouth is teeming with useful information. Regardless of those patronizing proclamations, the truth is I'll bet he teaches workshops on propagandism. Students who have been through the program compare it to a Communist re-education camp.

What do you think of this: None of what Publius says carries any weight? He does not tolerate any view that differs from his own. Rather, Publius discredits and discards those people who contradict him along with the ideas that they represent.

He truly believes that he is a paragon of morality and wisdom. I hope you realize that that's just a wishy-washy pipe dream from a delusional pipe, and that in the real world, the objection may still be raised that genocide, slavery, racism, and the systematic oppression, degradation, and exploitation of most of the world's people are all completely justified. At first glance, this sounds almost believable. Yet the following must be borne in mind: Publius says that unfounded attacks on character, loads of hyperbole, and fallacious information are the best way to make a point. That's a stupid thing to say. It's like saying that the Earth is flat. The salient point here is that Publius's foot soldiers, who are legion, consider his deeds a breath of fresh air. I, however, find them more like the fetid odor of hedonism. No amount of opinion or innuendo nor any string of unrelated artifices can change the fact that Publius is like a magician who produces a dove in one hand, while the other hand is busy trying to cast ordinary consumption and investment decisions in the light of high religious purpose. Why can't he live among us in peace? I've never gotten a clear and honest answer to that question from Publius. But what is clear is that he has two imperatives. The first is to produce a new generation of liberal stalking horses whose opinions and prejudices, far from being enlightened and challenged, are simply legitimized. The second imperative is to instill a subconscious feeling of guilt in those of us who disagree with his tactics. It's irrelevant that our allegations are 100% true. He distrusts our information and arguments and will forever maintain his current opinions. To end on a more positive note: I am pleased to report that my opinions are the obverse of Publius's.
