That's little different from the smear that people who disagree with the Left are bigots, racists, homophobes, Nazis, etc. Admittedly, some on the Right have called Leftist communists. Most of the Left rightfully resent that smear but aren't above doing the same thing themselves. This libelous labeling is little different from spitting on the troops as they came home from Vietnam with the added benefit of not having to risk getting punched in the nose.

The Speech Codes enacted at many colleges are blatant restrictions on free speech. Nowhere is it written that someone has the right to go through life without being offended. So-called "hate crimes" laws infer that some victims are more deserving of protection than others, a violation of the concept of equal protection under the law. "Campaign Finance Reform" as advocated by McCain, the Press, and many on the Left are also direct violations of the 1st Amendment based on Supreme Court rulings in the past.
