It's both. Left-wing crackpots are constantly awarded respect and an audience in much of the media, and in places like Congressional hearings. Just because news anchors, morning show hosts, pundits and Congressmen give them respect doesn't mean they aren't crackpots.
Why on Earth would you want to hide your sources? None of the stuff you post looks like it's in any way confidential, and if it were, why would you post it?
As much as possible I try to link to original sources, even making the effort to track derived stories like Newsmax articles back to the original publications. I think this is critical to allow people to make their own evaluations above and beyond my comments.
