If they are smart, here's the strategy.
It's Bush's. Portray yourself as being sorta toward the center, while sending back-channel messages to the extremist right that you have to get elected and then will "come home".
Then act right-wing while sounding sorta centrist. Hope for a close election, storm the recounting centers, and hope you can get the election into the hands of Scalia and Clarence (even dumb people deserve SC representation) Thomas. Ignoring "of the people, by the people, and for the people", they will stop the recount, and then say there's no time.
Simple. Worked last time, no reason it wouldn't work again.
