Now you're just pulling my chain...

<...Hope for a close election, storm the recounting centers, and hope you can get the election into the hands of Scalia and Clarence (even dumb people deserve SC representation) Thomas. Ignoring "of the people, by the people, and for the people", they will stop the recount, and then say there's no time.

Save it for the rubes--the ones who will believe anything just because someone says it. You know...the press. Rewriting history comes so easy to liberals...part of the mantra that anything is true if you can get enough people to believe it.

It was not the Republicans who, on November 8, descended on Florida like paratroopers on D-Day, with a single command: take the Florida election by any means necessary. This was according to a prearranged battle plan. This wasn't the Republicans running roughshod over a sweet, innocent Al Gore. This was a Democratic blitzkrieg, with specific pre-planned tactics, laid out before November 7.

"Interpret" the intent of the voter. Disenfranchise military votes. Play the ever-popular race card. Recount until it comes out "right." If it hadn't happened in Florida, it would have been some other state.

The only thing that went wrong with the Democratic plan is that the Republicans, instead of standing there in shock at Democratic chutzpah--the usual response--waded in with lawyers and publicists themselves, fists swinging, using the Democrats' own mau mau techniques right back at them. It was not the Republicans who threw it to the Florida Supreme Court. It was not the Republicans who, instead of demanding a statewide recount, demanded a recount in hand-picked counties the Democrats were sure would come up golden. And speaking of "dumb people," it wasn't Republicans who were chasing after every ruined ballot that had been screwed up by some idiot.

If it ended up in the U.S. Supreme Court, so be it. As we saw from later recounts, it wouldn't have changed anything anyway, although that history is being "rewritten" too.

And like I really believe that if Bush had won the popular vote, and Gore the electoral vote, that Democrats, the Democratic Party. and the liberals would have conceded the election to reflect the "will of the majority."

So can we just stop pretending like you're talking to people with no brains? I'm beginning to find it irritating, even though I know you, like others, enjoy deliberately pissing me off.
