While recuperating from an injury, the past two weeks, I've had more time to ponder and [I hate to admit it] gravely worry about the following subject, and the possible troubling scenario it may represent.
Actually, I've thought about this subject since POPULAR MECHANICS magazine has irresponsibly
published a story in its SEPTEMBER/2001
issue on E-BOMBS, what they can do in the hands of a terrorist, and how to make them without using nukes or nuclear materials.
E-BOMBS, nuke or conventional, are weapons that generate powerfulElectro-Magnetic Pulses that can fry unprotected electronic-circuits.

[Sarcasm] I guess that makes POPULAR MECHANICS magazine one of Saddam Insane's more popular periodicals.

I'm not revealing anything new, or anything that's a strategic security
threat, when I say... "if Saddam's scientists can make E-BOMBS, he can make E-WARHEADS for his SAMs and "air-to-air" missiles, too.

But I'm certainly no expert in
how the USAF, USN air-arm, and Marine Air-Corps protect their "fly-by-wire"
air assets [eg: F-16's, F-18's, Harriers, Apaches, AWACS, etc] from the effects of electro-magnetic pulses.
