I have to ask those who know more about these things than I.

I'm concerned by the possibility that while USAF, USN, USMC "fly-by-wire" jets may be well-protected by fine wiremesh [Faraday cage] on their airframes against electro-magnetic pulses...however,there maybe the proverbial Achille's Heel on those jets in their "glass-canopies" [which may be transparent to EMP bursts]
and their nonmetallic nose-cones that house their forward radar...
Could you set me straight on that, Larry? Either to confirm my fears, or
to allay my concerns with comforting facts.
