I am not any sort of authority on the tech involved with the so called "E bomb". I don't even know if we have such a thing beyond the residual effects of a plain ole nuke. If we have such a thing I would wonder why we haven't used it in Afghanistan to disrupt their communication, power generators, etc.

There seems to be no doubt that UBL, OBL, etal would use whatever is at their disposal. The economic effect of an E-bomb would imo not exceed the economic effect of a nuke detonated in Times Square and it would lack the terror effect resulting from the loss of many lives.

It has been said that the terrorist are smart and I will not argue that point but if they were Smart, Smart and have the know-how, they would restrict their attacks to cyber-attacks and such things as this e-bomb.

Can you imagine the difficulty we would have in rallying world support for military action if the only thing going south were our economy instead of the lives of innocent citizens.
