I noticed that the BBC article Raoul links doesn't point out this affiliation. Nor do most of the other links off the BBC article, although the second part of the above statement is quoted. Well, one link does point out that the gunman "is reported to be an ecologist and a Green Party activist."

Now, imagine this guy had belonged to some radical conservative group...
