Just like many other Islamic terrorist organizations/states such as Al Queda, the Taliban, Abu Sayyaf, GIA, the goals of Hamas go way beyond the political aims of establishing a government to their liking – they seek to convert free, secular societies to their twisted vision of the pure Islamic paradise on earth. In the process, individual liberties are curtailed, women are enslaved, non-Islamic minorities are persecuted or worse, minds are closed, darkness reigns, and in general it’s a pretty bad show.

In our naivete, we believed that Arafat and his Fatah would understand that peace with Israel would mean more strength for the PA and diminished power for Hamas. But instead on reining in Hamas and their crazy terrorists, Arafat stupidly chose to join forces with them. Now all the Palestinians are suffering the consequences.
