The first phrase is mine the second is yours, in quotes, attributed to me.
Replace the word goodys with compensation in my statement and we probably would not be having this exchange. Replacing goodies in your phrase would change nothing.
I won't apologize for using that word in this informal setting but I will acknowledge your apparent hyper-sensitivity and ponder on it.
