Pournelle's research

I certainly like the idea of a wall. A couple of them. I really do. In my own contrarian way, though, it looks to me as if there is going to be either one of two problems.

First, here's a UN map, not showing many of the newer settlements, but about 250 of the older ones.

Now, if you're going to build an effective wall you have to clear out the settlements. If that's his suggestion, how does he propose to do that? That question is key. Might take an army, and the IDF has nukes.

If not, then is there a wall around each one? Is there a wall down the highways leading to each settlement? Is that feasible?

"Wall" is a great idea if you can clear the Israelis out of the settlements. That sounds to me like a real hard sell. And, the way they are built, they are designed to eventually spread to the entire West Bank.

If you can't clear 'em out, it just sounds good.
