Israel cleared the settlements out of Sinai to buy peace with Egypt. Ariel Sharon personally supervised their bulldozing. Of course, Egypt wasn't being run by a looney, either.

Still, who knows what could happen. The wall is still a good start.

And a note to ebnelson: It isn't apartheid when the two parties WANT to be totally separate.
