Yeah, and it's not just tariffs. Multiply these negative effects by the thousands of other ways the government drops a monkey wrench into the mechanism of the free market.* I could fill pages.

*The first phrase that came to mind was "takes a dump in the punch bowl of the free market," but I rejected that. Aren't you glad?
