The reality is that Bush kept on White as a US Attorney so she could investigate Pardongate. They kept pouring money and people into it for a long, long time.

And, unfortunately, there just wasn't enough there for a prosecution. Always a way to create "reasonable doubt", especially with as good a witness as Clinton could be.

But a good Republican won't give up. How can we turn this to our benefit, I mean, not having the information, not having a good case? How can we keep our right-wing off our back?

We'll blame the Democrats. For what we don't do.

Sort of like the lousy bureaucrats who issued the global warming paper. Wasn't us, it was THEM, and you know who THEY are.
